PhD Candidate
Syracuse, New York
Bryan Dosono is a PhD Candidate in Information Science and Technology. He employs social network analysis with qualitative research methods to explore, interpret, and visualize large collections of social media data. He seeks to understand how Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders (AAPIs) construct and express their identity in online communities and his dissertation research uncovers the ways in which AAPIs negotiate collective action in the context of online identity work.

A doctoral researcher for the Syracuse University School of Information Studies, Bryan Dosono's scholarship in human-computer interaction and computer-supported cooperative work identifies impactful design opportunities that improve the quality of life for marginalized citizens. He is a recipient of the Google Policy Fellowship, the Ronald E. McNair Graduate Fellowship, and the iSchool Inclusion Institute Teaching Fellowship.
